Wendle's two years in Miami were forgettable, at best, and he closed out 2023 with a .212/.248/.312 slash line in 318 plate appearances. The utility infielder had a .744 OPS during the previous four seasons with the Rays, prompting the Mets to bring him aboard for 2024 on a $2 million deal.
