Leclerc began 2024 as the Rangers closer, but permitted runs in four of his first five appearances - allowing 8 ER in total - before he was ousted from the role. The 30-year-old righty only recorded one save all season, as Kirby Yates was phenomenal as Texas' closer. Leclerc fared much better once he shifted back to lower-leverage outings, compiling six wins, 13 holds, a 3.50 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB over his last 61.2 innings. Walks were still an issue, but his 19.8 K-BB percentage was a top-40 mark among qualified relievers. With 47 career saves and a 31.2 percent strikeout rate over eight seasons, Leclerc should draw plenty of interest on the free-agent market this winter. Read Past Outlooks
