PITCHER
Aaron Nola, PHI vs. NYM ($49): Nola stumbled a bit out of the gate this season, but he's been borderline elite over his past nine starts. During that nine-game stretch, Nola has surrendered no more than two runs in any game and he's recorded at least seven strikeouts in eight. The matchup against the Mets isn't a great one, but now that Jay Bruce is in Cleveland, it's certainly better than it used to be.
Hyun-Jin Ryu, LAD vs. SD ($41): This is by no means a slight on Max Scherzer, as he is a good option, but if you want to save some money on pitching, Ryu provides a quality option a bit lower down the board. Ryu has recorded 15 strikeouts while allowing zero runs over 14 innings in his past two starts, while the Padres enter with the lowest wOBA and the fifth-highest K% against lefties this season.
CATCHER
Brian McCann, HOU at TEX ($10): With Evan Gattis on the DL and backup Juan Centeno only in play against righties, you can expect to see McCann get the nod against the lefties, as he enters with a .345 wOBA against them this season. Lefty Martin Perez takes the mound for the Rangers and he brings a 5.18 ERA with him.
FIRST BASE
Eric Hosmer, KC at CHW ($22):James Shields managed to hit the minimum requirements for a quality start in his most recent outing, and that might be the highlight of his season. He has been one of the more reliably bad starters in the majors over the past couple seasons and comes in with a 6.03 ERA. Hosmer is having a pretty good season, and that's mainly due to his performance against righties, as his .382 wOBA against them is the second-highest on the team behind only Mike Moustakas.
SECOND BASE
Cesar Hernandez, PHI vs. NYM ($18):Steven Matz was good for a spell this season and then suddenly he wasn't. As it stands now, he's plain terrible as he has a 5.77 ERA. If the Phillies had a better lineup they would be one of the top stacks of the night, but as it is, you'll have to pick your spots. Hernandez looks like a good option as he sits at the top of the order and has a .346 wOBA against lefties this year.
THIRD BASE
Travis Shaw, MIL vs. CIN ($18): Shaw has had a lot of great matchups over the past week, but he's yet to take full advantage. I'm expecting that to change Saturday when he gets a crack at Tim Adleman, who has a 5.53 ERA and only one quality start in his past nine tries.
SHORTSTOP
Elvis Andrus, TEX vs. HOU ($18):Mike Fiers was terrible at the beginning of the season, but he worked through his issues and actually resembled a major league pitcher for a couple months; however, it looks like he's starting to regress again. Although he's right handed, Andrus has had better luck against righties this season and that's good news in this spot. Andrus enters with a .352 wOBA against righties, and he's had some success against Fiers in his career, hitting two home runs in just 11 at-bats.
OUTFIELD
George Springer, HOU at TEX ($21): Springer has been a bit rusty since returning from the DL, but a matchup with the lefty Perez could be just what he needs to regain his old form. Springer enters with a .451 wOBA against lefties this season, and while Perez is coming off a good start in his last outing, he's been pretty bad for most of the season.
Ryan Braun, MIL vs. CIN ($18): As you can probably see, I'm in favor of stacking the Brewers against Adleman. The Brewers have feasted on righties this season, and though they've struggled a bit lately, it's had nothing to do with Braun, who is on a streak of six consecutive multi-hit games, most against righties, and has a .362 wOBA against them this year.
Eddie Rosario, MN at DET ($17): Rosario has been on a tear lately with four home runs in his past six games, all against right-handed pitching. 14 of his 15 home runs this season have come against right-handers, and he has a .356 wOBA against them this season. Jordan Zimmermann takes the hill for the Tigers, and while he's looked good in spots, he has a 5.27 ERA.
