Closer Watch
Mets -- Jon Rauch came into the ninth inning against the Marlins with two men on, a four-run lead and no outs. Rauch gave up a three-run home run against the first batter he faced, but then shut the Marlins down to earn his fourth save of the season. The last Met to earn a save before Rauch on Saturday was Frank Francisco on September 1, but the Mets leader in saves for 2012 has been day-to-day with elbow tendinitis. The Mets haven't won much in September, but if Francisco is healthy, he should be the teams ninth-inning man.

Dodgers -- Brandon League walked one and struck out one to get his fourth save since being acquired by the Dodgers from the Mariners where he recorded nine saves over 44-plus innings. League didn't get his first save opportunity while with the Dodgers until September 1, and since then no other reliever has been able to do the same now three weeks later. League appears to be the Dodgers guy right now, but Kanley Jansen is now healthy, and he had 25 saves before missing almost a month with a heart condition and could be in consideration to regain the role of closer.

Recommended Pickup
Jake Odorizzi, P, KC -- The Royals will see all four players that they acquired in the deal that sent their reigning AL Cy Young winner, Zack Grienke, to Milwaukee in the same uniform when Odorizzi makes his major league debut Sunday against the Indians. Odorizzi has been one of the top prospects in baseball since he was drafted thirty-second overall in the 2008 Amateur Draft, and he showed flashes why he has been so highly touted by accumulating a 3.03 ERA and 15 wins in 26 appearances in Double-A and Triple-A this year. There is no way of telling how Odorizzi will preform against the Indians, but it should help him a little that he will most likely be throwing to his catcher from Triple-A, Adam Moore, who would also be making his Royals debut. Odorizzi should be available in most standard leagues, and some shallow keeper leagues, and should be given a shot by those that want to take bet on the righty proving that he belongs playing at baseballs highest level.

Other Recent Recommendations:Nate McLouth, Chris Carpenter, Dylan Bundy, Chris Archer, and Wily Peralta
