MLB Betting: Thursday Best Bets

This article is part of our MLB Picks series.

Previous: 2-2, -0.8 RWBucks
Overall: 140-110-1, +11.87 RWBucks

Orioles vs. Red Sox, 7:05 p.m. EDT

Nick Pivetta vs. Alexander Wells

The Red Sox opened -225 road favorites with a total of 10. I am having a tough time pegging the Red Sox, but I do think they win the game; it should be a 6-2 or 5-3 type game. Even if it ends up 5-4 this play will cash.

BET: Red Sox and Over 7.5 runs (-105) SGP for 1 RW buck

Blue Jays vs. Yankees, 7:07 p.m. EDT

Robbie Ray vs. Corey Kluber

Ray has gone at least six innings in 23 of 31 starts (74 percent) and in 13 of 16 home starts (81 percent). This is the biggest start of the year for Ray, who can cement winning the American League Cy Young award with a strong performance.

BET: Ray over 17.5 outs (-145) for 1 RWBuck

Mets vs. Marlins,  7:10 p.m. EDT

Rich Hill vs. Edward Cabrera

Both teams are just playing out the season and the lack of offense on both sides is significant. The season series is tied 9-9 and the average score in New York has been 5.6 runs.

BET: Under 7.5 (-105) for 1 RWBuck

Twins vs. Tigers, 7:40 p.m. EDT

Joe Ryan vs. Tarik Skubal

Ryan was part of the Nelson Cruz trade between the Rays and Twins and has had four strong starts since being called up to the majors. In 22 innings, he has struck out 25 and walked three with a 2.45 ERA and 0.59 WHIP. Skubal has only allowed two earned runs or less in eight of his last nine starts. But he has not made it past the fourth inning in his last four starts. Both teams rank about 20th in several key hitting categories the last 14 days.

BET: Under 4.5 runs F5 (-110) for 1 RWBuck
