FanDuel MLB: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel MLB: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel MLB series.

Welcome back to another edition of my FanDuel value picks for Wednesday, June 10. Tonight's contests include 11 games, with a wide variety of players to choose from. As usual, be sure to check last minute lineup changes and check in on any players with day-to-day injuries. Below are the guys that should provide good value for their current price tag.

Starting Pitcher:
Trevor Bauer, $8,600
- Bauer has been sensational up to this point of the season as he enters with a 5-2 record to go along with a 2.94 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 70.1 innings pitched. It seems as though the only time Bauer gives up runs is when he's struggling with his control and he does have 29 walks on the season. If he can get on track early in this contest against the Mariners, Bauer should be in for a nice night.

Catcher:
Derek Norris, $3,000
- Norris got the night off on Tuesday simply to rest, so he should be fresh for Wednesday night's game against Atlanta. He enters the game with six home runs and 35 RBI over 209 at-bats to start the year, and has been a much improved offensive threat this season. Norris and the Padres will see youngster Williams Perez of the Braves on Wednesday who will be making just his fifth career start.

First Base:
Adrian Gonzalez, $3,600
- As usual, Gonzalez is off to another wonderful start as he remains one of the best all-around hitters in the game. He's scored 37 runs with 11 homers and 39 RBI. Gonzalez has crushed right-handed pitching over the course of his career, so he should love the matchup against Jeremy Hellickson of the D-Backs on Wednesday who enters with an ERA of 4.88 and a 1.42 WHIP.

Second Base:
Neil Walker, $2,900
- Walker got the night off on Tuesday against the Brewers which means he should definitely be in the lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Kyle Lohse. Walker has recorded a hit in eight of his last nine games after a poor start to the season at the plate. He should love his matchup against Lohse who enters with an awful ERA of 6.59 on the year. Look for Walker to have a solid night as the Bucs try to avoid a sweep at home.

Third Base:
Manny Machado, $3,300
- Machado has been a solid five-tool player so far this season and it's really nice to see him healthy once again. He's scored 30 runs to go along with nine home runs and 25 RBI over 214 at-bats. The most surprising statistic up to this point is the eight stolen bases. Machado only had 10 steals in his first three seasons combined so this production is definitely a bonus for fantasy owners. Machado will get a matchup at home against Rick Porcello and the Red Sox on Wednesday. Porcello enters with an ERA of 5.01 and has really struggled to find success so far this year.

Shortstop:
Starlin Castro, $2,700
- Castro hasn't been spectacular up to this point but he still hits in the middle of a very powerful Cubs lineup, and he gets a good matchup against Shane Greene of the Tigers on Wednesday who enters with an ERA of 5.40. Castro got the night off on Tuesday against the Tigers so he should certainly be in the lineup for game two on Wednesday. Castro has the type of talent to provide great value and production at a reasonable price.

Outfield:
Ryan Braun, $4,100
- The Brewers right fielder looks like the Ryan Braun of old this year, after a tough 2014 season. Although he's hitting just .268 (which should rise throughout the year), Braun has certainly regained his power production. He's got 13 home runs with 40 RBI and 31 runs scored. The six stolen bases make him one of the better five-tool players in the game once again.

Adam Jones, $3,400 - Jones is having another great season so far in 2015 with nine home runs and 30 RBI to go along with a .311 average. He's also scored 30 runs and stolen three bags which make him a solid five-tool option. Jones gets Rick Porcello of the Red Sox on Wednesday who's been getting hammered around so far this year.

Ender Inciarte, $3,000 -Inciarte has been very solid for Arizona so far this year as he enters Wednesday's ballgame with a .290 average to go along with 36 runs scored and 20 RBI. He's also stolen eight bases which make him a solid option in four out of the five offensive categories. Inciarte hits in front of Paul Goldschmidt who might be the best hitter in all of baseball. Every time the young outfielder gets on base, he's got a great opportunity to score.
Good Luck!
