PITCHER:
Adam Conley, MIA vs. ARI ($6,800): While there are some nice pitching options on the board, Conley stands out above the rest for a few reasons. First and foremost, the man is coming off an outing where he failed to allow a hit over 7.2 innings. But more importantly, Conley offers terrific strikeout potential (25.5 percent K rate this season) at a dirt cheap price. The matchup with Arizona isn't ideal, but Conley is way too good a value to pass up, especially pitching in the spacious confines of Marlins Park.
CATCHER:
Evan Gattis, HOU vs. SEA ($2,400): Gattis has been anything but impressive this year, but he's still faired well against left-handers (.360 wOBA) and faces one in Wade Miley, who's allowed a .356 wOBA to right-handed hitters.
FIRST BASE:
Lucas Duda, NYM at SD ($3,200): Duda has crushed right-handed pitching this season (.346 wOBA and .211 ISO), including a pair of home runs off Jhoulys Chacin on Thursday. He faces uninspiring right-hander Colin Rea, and yet he is still very affordable, especially compared to the other options at the position.
SECOND BASE:
Daniel Murphy, WAS at CHC ($3,800): Somehow Murphy is the fifth-most expensive second baseman, a full $400 cheaper than Jose Altuve. While this may not seem like much, there is no doubt that it's a value because Murphy should be the most expensive player on the board. His .444 wOBA is tops at his position, and he's crushed right-handed pitching to the tune of a .243 ISO. He now faces a righty in Kyle Hendricks, who's faired worse against righties than lefties over the course of his career. Even though the price may seem steep, Murphy is actually a bargain for the numbers he's been putting up on a daily basis.
THIRD BASE:
Maikel Franco, PHI at STL ($2,900): Franco has slumped a bit lately, hence the depressed price, but he has still hit lefties well (.343 wOBA) and faces one in Jaime Garcia, who's shown some warts over his last two outings. Based on his price and pedigree, Franco presents a nice buy-low option at a top-heavy position.
SHORTSTOP:
Javier Baez, CHC vs. WAS ($2,500): Baez's price still hasn't caught up with how well he's been playing. The 23-year-old has put up an impressive .343 wOBA in his limited action, and he should be a lock to get more playing time as the Cubs deal with a multitude of injuries. While the matchup with Joe Ross isn't ideal, the price is too good to pass up considering Baez's talent and the strong lineup around him.
OUTFIELD:
Michael Conforto, NYM at SD ($3,900): Conforto has been a monster this season (.421 wOBA) hitting in the three hole, and he has been especially dominant against right-handed pitching (.474 wOBA and .333 ISO). He faces the aforementioned hittable righty Colin Rea, and he is still priced surprisingly affordable considering how good he's been.
Ian Desmond, TEX at TOR ($3,300): Desmond's been heating up with a .454 wOBA over his last 14 games, yet he is still priced quite reasonably. He's been especially potent against left-handed pitching (.414 wOBA and .308 ISO in 2016) and faces a lefty in J.A. Happ, who's struggled against righties over the course of his career. Playing in the offense-friendly Rogers Centre certainly doesn't hurt either.
Jackie Bradley Jr., BOS at CWS ($3,100): Bradley has played well this season (.345 wOBA) and has been particularly effective against right-handed pitching (.352 wOBA and .208 ISO). He faces righty Erik Johnson and his career .418 wOBA - granted, small sample size - allowed to left-handed hitters. Based on his relatively low cost and solid matchup, Bradley offers a lot of upside for a minimal investment.
