Pitcher
Max Scherzer, WAS vs ATL ($12,400) – Scherzer's matchup against the Braves is neither good nor bad as the Braves are in the middle of the pack in most statistical categories against righties this season, but the way he's been going lately, it's hard to deviate. There are some other good options on this slate, but none with the potential of Scherzer. Scherzer has recorded 10 or more strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts while allowing just six runs over that span.
Catcher
Gary Sanchez, NYY vs MIL ($3,500) – Junior Guerra takes the hill for the Brewers, and if his recent performance is any indication of future returns, then he's in big trouble against the Yankees. Guerra enters with a 4.93 ERA, but he's been particularly bad in his two most recent starts where he's failed to get out of the 5th inning. Sanchez enters with a .401 wOBA against righties this season, which is second on the Yankees.
First Base
Trey Mancini, BAL at MN ($2,800) – First base is generally a position worth paying up for, but with Mancini at just under $3K, he provides more value than some of the higher-priced options. His matchup is appealing as well, as he faces righty Felix Jorge, who enters with a 5.40 ERA and has spent most of the season at the Double-A level. Mancini leads the Orioles with a .404 wOBA against righties this season.
Second Base
Daniel Descalso, AZ vs CIN ($3,000) – The Diamondbacks had a tough week facing a gauntlet of left-handed starters in Los Angeles, but they are back at home against a righty and presumably couldn't be happier. Tim Adelman takes the mound for the Reds, and he's probably in for a rough night as the Diamondbacks have great numbers against righties, especially at home. Descalso enters with a .370 wOBA against righties this season, which is third on the team.
Shortstop
Carlos Correa, HOU at TOR ($4,400) – I'm not terribly fond of the shortstops on this slate, but you can never go wrong with Correa, so he is, by default, the pick here. Correa enters with a .393 wOBA against righties this season and he'll face righty Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez enters with a 3.33 ERA, but he's coming off a stint on the DL and wasn't very impressive in his final rehab start.
Third Base
Nolan Arenado, COL vs CHW ($4,700) – Lately, the Rockies just haven't been the same potent team they were early in the year, but it's only a matter of time before they break out. Arenado has also slowed since his torrid start, but he's still extremely dangerous against lefties. Arenado enters with a .519 wOBA against southpaws this season and he gets a lefty in Derek Holland, who has struggled for most of the year.
Outfield
Aaron Judge, NYY vs MIL ($4,900) – I've mentioned in the past few days that Judge isn't an automatic selection anymore because of his price, but when he's at home, he's generally a good pick. He's got a good matchup against Guerra, who is likely to get hit hard. As such, the Yankees make for one of the best stacks on the board and Judge should be a part of that stack. Judge enters with a .460 wOBA against righties this season, which is best on the Yankees and third in the majors.
Aaron Altherr, PHI vs SD ($3,100) – Altherr was on a tear early in the season, but he's since come back down to Earth. While the consistency has been missing over the past couple months, he still has a high upside. Altherr enters with a .358 wOBA against lefties this season, and he'll face a vulnerable lefty in Clayton Richard. Richard enters with a 4.85 ERA and he's allowed 12 runs total in his two most recent starts.
Giancarlo Stanton, MIA at SF ($4,200) – Matt Moore takes the hill for the Giants, which means we should target right-handed hitters in the Marlins' lineup. Stanton enters with a .412 wOBA against lefties this season, which surprisingly isn't tops on the Marlins, but he has the most upside in that lineup, so he's the top choice.
