Pitcher
Danny Salazar, CLE at TOR ($9,700) – Salazar comes in as the fourth highest-priced pitcher tonight and has a matchup that a year ago was one to fade. However, this is a very different Toronto team without Josh Donaldson that features Darwin Barney and Ryan Goins in the sixth and seventh spots in the batting order. Salazar has been fantastic this season with at least six strikeouts and 14.5 fantasy points in all six starts. The Blue Jays have the fourth worst wOBA against right-handed pitching (.285) and the ninth highest strikeout rate (22.8%).
Catcher
Jonathan Lucroy, TEX vs SD ($3,400) – Lucroy moves back home into the hitter-friendly confines of Arlington Stadium with a nice matchup against Luis Perdomo. Lucroy has started to heat up over the last week with a .859 OPS. Perdomo has a career 5.06 ERA on the road, giving up a .343 wOBA to right-handed hitters.
First Base
Kennys Vargas, MIN at CHW ($3,600) – Vargas has heated up over his last six games, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs. He had nice splits against left-handed pitching last season with a .514 wOBA in a small sample (52 plate appearances). Tonight, he'll face lefty Derek Holland who gave up a .346 wOBA to right-handed hitters in 2016.
Second Base
Brad Miller, TB vs KC ($3,400) – Miller was in something of a slump before homering Tuesday, although his .197 batting average doesn't tell the whole story. Miller has a respectable .357 OBP and has hit in the two-hole or cleanup spot for most of the season. Royals starter Jason Hammel gave up a .344 wOBA to left-handed hitters last season.
Shortstop
Tim Anderson CHW vs MIN ($3,300) – While Anderson is off to a slow start, it's worth noting he's reached base safely in three straight games and the matchup with Phil Hughes should work in his favor. Hughes gave up 11 home runs in less than 60 innings last season and had a 5.54 ERA on the road.
Third Base
Travis Shaw, MIL vs BOS ($3,500) – Shaw is off to a good start this season with seven home runs and has an elite matchup against Kyle Kendrick, who has given up a .362 wOBA to left-handed hitters in his career.
Outfield
Magneuris Sierra, STL at MIA ($2,500) – Here's a dark-horse pick for the night, as many people haven't heard of Sierra. He's made the jump from High-A to the big leagues due to a couple of injuries and is similar to Billy Hamilton in terms of an abundance of speed and a lack of power. He's hit safely in all three games with the Cardinals and Tom Koehler isn't a matchup to be afraid of.
Yasmany Tomas, ARI vs DET ($3,700) – Everyone flocks to Paul Goldschmidt whenever the D-Backs are home facing a left-handed pitcher. However, it's Tomas who had a crazy .460 wOBA against left-handed hitters last season. He'll hit in the middle of the order (a good RBI spot) and Matt Boyd has given up a .350 wOBA to right-handed hitters for his career.
Jayson Werth, WAS at BAL ($4,200) – Werth is a notorious lefty-killer and gets that matchup tonight in Camden Yards against Wade Miley. Werth has heated up over the last week with a 1.027 OPS and has a career .399 wOBA against left-handed pitching. Miley is a soft-tossing lefty who gave up a .360 wOBA to right-handed hitters last season.
