FORWARDS
Alexis Sanchez, MUN v. HUD ($12,000): The price is high, but there is not a single player on the slate who averages more shots on goal + chances created per 90 minutes than Alexis. Manchester United are the biggest favorites on the slate, and while Romelu Lukaku ($11,000) has higher anytime goal scorer odds, Alexis can still put up a decent score even if he doesn't find the back of the net. In fact, if you want to pivot away from Alexis, Anthony Martial ($9,500) has been much better than Lukaku of late.
Callum Wilson, BOU v. STK ($9,000): Stoke may be coming off back-to-back home clean sheets, but they could struggle trying to contain Wilson, who comes in with three goals on five shots on target in his last four games. The Cherries' attack is really clicking of late with Wilson spearheading the effort, and he has the highest anytime goal scorer odds among players not lining up for Man United or Arsenal. Stoke's two consecutive shutouts were good results, but no team has allowed more away goals this season.
Daniel Sturridge, WBA v. SOU ($8,500): Sturridge took two shots (both off target) in his 12-minute appearance off the bench during Wednesday's match at Manchester City, but he should have a much easier time firing off shots if he gets the start Saturday against Southampton. Sturridge has always been known as a volume shooter, and while he will have to score a goal in order to make value, playing a side that has one clean sheet in their last 16 league games is an encouraging start.
MIDFIELDER
Paul Pogba, MUN v. HUD ($9,500): Pogba was ripped off the field after 63 dismal minutes against Tottenham on Wednesday, but he has a great opportunity to rid himself of that funk at home against Huddersfield. He created 12 chances and took 10 shots (albeit only one was on goal) in the three games before that, and that creation also led to four assists. With Man United so heavily favored, it wouldn't be surprising to see Pogba as one of the highest owned players on the slate.
Junior Stanislas, BOU v. STK ($7,500): Stanislas' season has been very inconsistent due to a number of injury issues, but he came back with a bang earlier this week, scoring a goal during Bournemouth's shocking 3-0 win at Chelsea on Wednesday. He's their top playmaker who is capable of putting his own shots on goal or setting up chances for others. The Cherries have been one of the hottest teams in the Premier League of late, scoring multiple goals in five of their last six games (13 over that span), and they have the highest implied goal total after Manchester United and Arsenal. While I prefer Stanislas, Jordon Ibe ($7,000) is worth a look too, as no player on the team has gotten more shots on goal or created more chances this season (part of that is due to Stanislas' absences).
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, ARS v. EVE ($8,000): Arsenal are the second-biggest favorites on the slate, and while Mesut Ozil ($10,500) is the more consistent chance creator, I think it's worth taking a chance on Mkhitaryan because of the cost savings. Mkhitaryan started the season with multiple chances created in seven straight games, including 13 in the first three, and while his form really fell off, I'm happy to blame Jose Mourinho for that and not a drop in skill.
DEFENDERS
Sam Byram, WHU at BHA ($5,000): Byram paid dividends during Tuesday's match against Crystal Palace, scoring 27.25 fantasy points without a goal or an assist. Lining up as a right wing-back, Byram contributed on the attacking end with two chances created and 25 completed passes while still putting in the defensive work with five tackles, five interceptions and three clearances. With West Ham continuing to battle injuries, Byram could certainly be back in the starting XI against a Brighton side that's been shut out in four of their last six matches.
Terene Kongolo, HUD at MUN ($4,500): Kongolo was solid, at least for fantasy purposes, in his team debut Tuesday against Liverpool, finishing with seven clearances, two interceptions and a blocked shot in 90 minutes. Just more than 12 fantasy points isn't a huge return, but at $4,500 he sure opens up plenty of salary space elsewhere while still giving us upside based on how much Manchester United should be attacking the Huddersfield back line.
Cuco Martina, EVE at ARS ($6,000): After a small dip in production, Martina has gone back to being one of the more reliable fantasy defenders, scoring at least 19.50 fantasy points in back-to-back matches. He does it with a combination of tackles, clearances and interceptions, all stats he should have opportunities to rack up away to Arsenal, the most intercepted team on the slate and the one who's forced the most clearances.
GOALKEEPER
Ben Foster, WBA v. SOU ($5,000): Foster has made at least three saves in four of his last five matches, posting two clean sheets over that span. The Southampton attack has been decent of late, and while Foster's clean sheet odds are the lowest of any other favored keeper, he probably has the highest save upside of the bunch.
