Thiago (strain) will try to return for Sunday's clash with Wolves according to manager Jurgen Klopp. "He is in control of absolutely everything on the pitch. Unfortunately, the body didn't play exactly a part. But he is in a good way, he looked really good yesterday and I'm sure he will want to give it a try again."

Thiago (strain) does not look to be returning any time soon, as manager Jurgen Klopp stated, "There's no timescale. I don't know, to be honest. It's a couple of things what he has to do now from a medical point of view and then I don't know if that will mean that he can play again. That's not a short-term thing. It's not that he might be in training in two weeks or stuff like this, so that's why I'm not 100 percent in it. I cannot say more about it, to be honest."

Thiago is set for a spell on the sideline with a muscular injury, according to manager Jurgen Klopp."Yes [I expect him to play again this season], but we didn't really think about that, in the moment we just treat the injury and get a full assessment done and knowing exactly where it came from. It's not the intensity and stuff like this, so there are different things."

Alcantara suffered a muscular injury in his five-minute appearance against Arsenal on Sunday and is expected to miss time, per James Pearce of The Athletic.
