PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
GOALKEEPERS
Sergio Rico, SEV v. IBB ($5,900): Rico and Sevilla are in prime position to punch a ticket to the Champions League group stage after winning 2-1 at Istanbul in the first leg. A 0-0 result would be enough to put them through, but I expect the Spaniards to put this one out of reach, giving Rico an easy five points for the win bonus with a strong possibility of a clean sheet.
DEFENDER
Faouzi Ghoulam, NAP at NIC ($6,500): Ghoulam paid off his hefty price in the first leg against Nice, putting in 11 crosses and finishing with 14 fantasy points. Having a share of corners in a potent Napoli attack gives Ghoulam's fantasy appeal a big boost, and with a lack of attractive options at the defender position, paying up for him is a warranted strategy.
Junior Caicara, IBB at SEV ($4,200): Caicara had seven crosses and ended with seven fantasy points in the first leg loss to Sevilla. Things don't get any easier playing the second leg in Spain, but with Istanbul chasing a result, Caicara could be in for a repeat performance. At $4,200, the potential for double-digit points without a clean sheet is worth consideration.
MIDFIELDER
Ever Banega, SEV v. IBB ($8,200): Banega came away with 12 fantasy points in the first leg against Istanbul on the strength of three shots and six crosses. He took corners in the first leg, and if Sevilla are to put their stamp on the series he's likely to be involved.
Wesley Sneijder, NCE v. NAP ($6,400): Sneijder was lively in his first ever start for Nice on Saturday. Turning a 2-0 deficit around against Napoli will be no easy task, but if they are to give themselves a chance it will be Sneijder powering the attack. He split corners with Jean Michael Seri on Saturday and will likely continue to stand over the majority of set pieces.
Valon Ahmedi, MAR v. HBS ($3,900): Ahmedi finished with seven fantasy points in the first leg and is now back at home to help Maribor overturn a 2-1 result against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. He took the lone Maribor corner in the first leg, and with the Slovenians in need of at least one goal, look for Ahmedi to be active in the attack throughout.
FORWARD
Tony Nwakaeme, HBS at MAR ($8,100): Nwakaeme was a handful for Maribor in the first leg, scoring one goal on five shots, swinging in five crosses and finishing with 23 fantasy points. While Hapoel Beer-Sheva go into the second leg holding a one-goal lead, the series is well within reach for Maribor. Look for Nwakaeme to continue to be a menace on the wing as Beer-Sheva go in search of another goal.
Mario Gavranovic, RIJ v. OLY ($5,000): Gavranovic assisted on Rijeka's lone goal in the first leg at Olympiakos, and despite having no shots or crosses he still ended up with nine fantasy points. Down 2-1 in the series, Rijeka will be forced to press for goals with Gavranovic front and center.
