XFINITY Series
January 17, 2023
JR Motorsports announced on Tuesday that Paludo will drive the No. 88 BRANDT Chevrolet in three NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Paludo will return to JRM to drive a BRANDT sponsored car in three races for the third consecutive season. Paludo will be behind the wheel for road course races at Circuit of the Americas (March 25), the inaugural Chicago Street Circuit (July 1), and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course (Aug. 12). Paludo's best finish last season came at COTA where he scored a ninth place result in the No. 88. This fifth entry for JRM will run in at least two other races this season with Dale Earnhardt Jr. behind the wheel, one of which has been confirmed to be Bristol Motor Speedway (Sept. 15).

Paludo hasn't raced in NASCAR in several seasons, but he has signed to compete in three road course events for JR Motorsports in 2021: Daytona road course, COTA and Mid-Ohio. Paludo has respectable road racing skills and should give the team good efforts in these spot starts.
Paludo hasn't raced in NASCAR since 2013 and is assumed to be retired.
Turner will bring back Paludo for his third full season of racing in the Camping World Truck Series. Once again he will pilot the No. 32 Chevrolet truck for this strong truck series stable. Paludo gets better each season and we expect more improvement for this driver in 2013. Now that teammate Nelson Piquet Jr. has graduated to the Nationwide Series, we expect to see some of the team focus to shift to Paludo’s efforts. He claimed five Top-10 finishes last season and a 10th-place finish in the final driver standings. We expect the level of performance to move modestly up in the coming year.
