Mills makes the move from part-time driver to full-time driver in 2024. The journeyman split 12 starts between the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series last season. Now Mills will get a full slate of races in the Niece Motorsports' Chevy truck. This is the same team that Carson Hocevar enjoyed a lot of success with over the past three years. He would grab four wins and 13 Top-10 finishes last season alone and challenge hotly for the championship. Mills will have some pretty big shoes to fill, and while he doesn't have the resume of accomplishments that Hocevar has, he does have some experience. Mills boasts close to 150 starts over the past seven seasons and is no newcomer to the truck series. He'll have some ups-and-downs along the way, but crew chief Phil Gould should help him succeed.

Mills and a supporting cast of multiple drivers made this small race team pretty competitive last season. The effort would lead to two Top-10 and six Top-20 finishes. While Mills would only make 14 of the starts for the team, they'd earn some good returns with the very capable supporting pilots of the No. 5 Chevrolet. Scheduling plans have not been announced as of this writing for the BJMM team. If Mills splits this car again with a similar driver lineup we should expect to see comparable results. The 26-year-old driver is still learning the ropes, but should continue to improve over time.

Mills has been a regular face for the BJMM team since 2019. He spent most of last season in the team's No. 5 Ford. Mills grabbed just three Top-20 finishes last season, but otherwise found it difficult to maintain the lead lap most weeks. It would all add up to a 28.3 average finish. Nothing has been announced by the team at this point, but it's expected that Mills will return to the No. 5 car again in 2022. The obvious goals for this driver and team is to become more competitive and to collect more Top-20 finishes in the upcoming season. Cracking the Top-25 in driver points would seem like a reasonable goal as well.

Mills returns for season three at B.J. McLeod Motorsports in 2021. The 24-year-old driver peddled the team's Chevrolet to three Top-15 and five Top-20 finishes last season. Most of those good performances come in the final third of the season, signaling that Mills is getting some traction in the No. 5 team. He'll get a full slate of action in the upcoming year with David Ingram as crew chief and steady sponsorship. Mills now has 71 starts of Xfinity Series experience to his credit. The time to start taking some steps forward has come.

The 23-year-old driver returns for a second season at B.J. McLeod Motorsports. Mills started 29 of the 33 events last season in the No. 5 Chevrolet. The young driver earned one Top-10 finish (summer Daytona race) and eight Top-20 finishes. The performance netted a 21st-place finish in the driver standings of 2019. It wasn't a bad effort for a driver of such limited experience. Mills will return to an intact team with good sponsorship and the same crew chief as last season. They will look to build on the foundation they laid in the last campaign, and improve through more consistency and less DNF's.

The 22-year-old Ohio native is tabbed to take one of BJMM's three full-time teams in 2019. Mills will pilot the No. 8 Chevrolet for the full season with JF Electric and Thompson Electric providing sponsorship. The young driver made just eight starts last season split between several teams, although he ended the year in the No. 8 car with crew chief George Ingram. We believe that combination will return in February at Daytona. With just 11-career starts over the past two seasons of Xfinity Series racing, Mills still has a lot to learn. So the campaign could get very bumpy at times.
