Top picks:
Gerardo Parra, Giants: Parra has enjoyed a great start to life in the NPB and posted impressive numbers despite hitting at the bottom of the order. The former MLB player went 5-for-9 with two homers, six RBI, three walks and four runs scored in 12 plate appearances.
Kazuma Okamoto, Giants: Okamoto went 5-for-10 with a home run, a double, four RBI, four runs scored and two walks in 12 plate appearances in the Giants' sweep against the Tigers. He should get plenty of opportunities to produce at the middle of one of the league's most promising lineups.
Seiya Suzuki, Carp: The clean-up hitter for Hiroshima, Suzuki accounted for 13 total bases in his team's first three games. He went 5-for-11 with two home runs, one triple, five RBI and two walks in 13 plate appearances.
Jose Pirela, Carp: Pirela got off to a good start this season, going 5-for-14 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored. He wasn't as productive as Suzuki, but he should get plenty of chances to produce atop the Carp's lineup.
