First loss of career Saturday in Virginia
Pereira lost to Tatiana Suarez via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia.
ANALYSIS
The first loss of Pereira's professional career was an extremely lopsided one. She was dominated by the bigger, stronger Suarez. At exactly 5-feet tall, Pereira is very small, even for the women's strawweight division and she doesn't have very much power in her hands and that is a terrible combination. The Brazilian, at age 24, does have youth on her side but it's highly unlikely that she will ever be able to compete against the best that the division has to offer.

ANALYSIS
Pereira has taken down Valerie Letourneau and Jamir Moyle since joining the UFC in 2016. The promotion took note of "Sucuri" after she won and defended two titles in the Brazilian circuit. The 24-year-old has six stoppage wins in her 13-0 career.

Decisions Jamie Moyle at UFC 212
Pereira defeated Jamie Moyle via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 212 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
After doing nothing on the feet in her UFC debut against Valerie Letourneau, Pereira looked far better on Saturday. She struggled to get in a rhythm early on before picking up the pace over the final ten minutes. Pereira, at age 23, has room for growth. Standing at just five feet, Pereira isn't tall even for the strawweight division, so she has to get inside if she is to be successful on the feet.

Draws Jamie Moyle in Brazil
Pereira will take on Jamie Moyle in a strawweight matchup at UFC 212 on June 3 in Brazil, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Both Pereira and Moyle were victorious in their UFC debuts, but Pereira barely squeaked by with a split decision, while Moyle took a unanimous decision from Kailin Curran. Pereira is nearly five years younger and will be at a slight size disadvantage, but the undefeated prospect will have the home crowd behind her, as she hails from Taua, Cera, Brazil.

Takes split decision from Valerie Letourneau in UFC debut
Pereira won her UFC debut on Saturday, defeating Valerie Letourneau via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 206 in Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Pereira checks in at five feet even, and she was facing a woman who should be fighting at bantamweight, so the fact she even made the fight competitive against a much bigger opponent was a victory in itself. The Brazilian is very strong for her size, but she didn't threaten Letourneau in the least in regards to the striking game. There is room for improvement here at age-23, but Pereira needs to work on numerous areas moving forward.
