Tabbed for July 15 fight
Nam will take on Azat Maksum at the UFC event on July 15, Team Iridium Sports Agency reports.
ANALYSIS
Nam was submitted last month against Bruno Silva. That came following a knockout victory over Ode Osbourne in August after taking a year-and-a-half off. Maksum will be making his UFC debut but has yet to lose in MMA competition.

Brutally finished by Bruno Silva
Nam lost to Bruno Silva via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:23 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Nam returned from a year-and-a-half layoff to knock out Ode Osbourne last August, but he had a much more difficult time in this one against a considerably better opponent in Silva. Nam never seemed to be able to find his range from a striking perspective before eating a front kick to the face early in Round 2 which essentially ended the fight right then and there. Nam is tough, and his power is legitimate, but he struggles to generate secondary offense. His 3-4 career UFC record is nothing to write home about, and it seems highly unlikely a prolonged winning streak will be forthcoming at age 39.

Taking on Bruno Silva
Nam is set to take on Bruno Silva at a UFC event on Mar. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Nam was victorious over Ode Osbourne in his most recent UFC appearance on Aug. 13, after taking a year and a half leave from fighting. The 5-foot-7 American will look to take down Silva, who is coming off of a near two-year absence of his own.

Wins following long layoff
Nam defeated Ode Osbourne via KO (punches) at 2:59 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 41 on Saturday in San Diego.
ANALYSIS
Full marks for Nam for coming up with a massive victory in his first fight since January 2021. Nam has always had legitimate power, but his chin has proven questionable in the past, and his offensive game is limited. Fortunately for the soon-to-be 39-year-old, he was able to connect with one huge punch following a foolish flying knee attempt from Osbourne, and that was all it took to secure Nam's win. It also earned him one of the $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded Saturday. Nam is highly unlikely to go an a prolonged winning streak given his advanced age and limited arsenal, but he has quietly now won three of four, all via knockout, dating back to June 2020.
