Announces retirement from MMA
Evans announced that he was retiring from MMA on Monday during an appearance on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show.

Evans may have finished his career on a five-fight losing streak, but don't let that take away from the fact that he was once one of the more feared light heavyweights on the entire UFC roster. The winner of season two of The Ultimate Fighter, Evans held the belt following a 2008 victory over Forrest Griffin, though he proceeded to lose it in his first title defense against Lyoto Machida. Evans then bounced back with a four-fight winning streak over some of the promotion's best, but came up short in his next title shot against Jon Jones in 2012 via unanimous decision. "Suga" will finish his MMA career with a professional record of 19-8-1, having collected victories over the likes of Michael Bisping, Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Rampage Jackson and Dan Henderson. His role in building the popularity of the sport could very well punch him a hall-of-fame ticket.
