On card for UFC Busan
Liu will face Kyung Ho Kang at UFC Busan on Dec. 21, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Liu will be hoping to correct the ship in Busan after losing for the first time in six years to Jonathan Martinez at UFC Fight Night 155 this past July. Even though Liu had an impressive win streak of nine before that loss, only two of those wins came under the UFC banner.

Suffers first UFC loss
Liu lost to Jonathan Martinez via KO (knee) at 3:53 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
In a fight in which both men attempted a ton of strikes and landed very few, Liu's inability to defend one massive knee from Martinez led to his first UFC loss. Liu continues to engage in standup battles despite the fact he averages just 2.90 significant strikes per minute while eating 4.13 per minute. It's a terrible ratio and almost certainly the direct cause for Saturday's setback. Liu is a competent mat specialist but his poor fight IQ is holding him back. The 26-year-old had a nine-fight win streak entering Saturday, but that number is misleading. Liu is nothing more than roster depth.

Booked for UFC Sacramento
Liu (undisclosed) will return to the Octagon at UFC Sacramento on July 13, Nolan King of Flocombat reports.
ANALYSIS
Liu has grown into his own as a professional fighter, carrying a nine-fight winning streak into his upcoming bout. However, his only two fights in the UFC ended in a decision, suggesting he is not racking up a ton of fantasy points. Liu has a one-inch advantage in height and a 3.5-inch reach advantage on Martinez, who is 1-1 in the UFC. Liu has just a 55 percent takedown defense over a short sample size, and hasn't made wrestling a big part of his game to date. He's comfortable enough in grappling exchanges, however, with five of his 13 pro wins coming by way of submission.

Gets Ray Borg in Philly
Pingyuan will take on Ray Borg in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Philadelphia on March 30, PhillyVoice.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pingyuan began his professional career on a four-fight losing streak, but has since bounced back to win 13 of his next 14, including his first two UFC bouts. He's a 26-year-old fighter who trains at Team Alpha Male, which is a renowned camp for smaller fighters. The native of China will welcome Borg back to the Octagon after a multi-year hiatus due to various personal and medical issues. Borg has faced some of the best flyweights in the world, but this fight will be up at 135 pounds, where Pingyuan will own substantial height and reach advantages.
