Picks up win at Invicta FC 29
StrawweightOther
May 7, 2018
Gonzalez defeated Barbara Acioly via submission (armbar) at 1:30 of Round 1 at Invicta FC 29 on Friday in Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez has now won back-to-back contests since joining Invicta FC, starting with a unanimous decision over Kali Robbins in March, and most recently this first-round stoppage. Though Gonzalez came up empty in her UFC opportunity, the 31-year-old could get a chance to make another run if she's able to keep up the current winning streak.

Set to fight Barbara Acioly

April 9, 2018
Gonzalez will fight Barbara Acioly on May 4 at Invicta FC 29, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez fought against Kali Robbins in March at Invicta FC 28 and won by unanimous decision to bring her professional record to 7-3. The former UFC strawweight will have a quick turnaround of just six weeks before facing off with Acioly on May 4.
Makes the move to Invicta FC

Gonzalez signed a deal on Thursday with the all-women promotion Invicta FC, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez (6-3 overall) has had two fights with the UFC and lost both. She joined the promotion in April, taking a late-notice bout against Cynthia Cavillo that ended in an third-round submission loss. The 31-year-old has switched promotions and joined the all-female fighters of Invicta FC alongside 14 other signees. Her debut under their banner has not yet been announced.
Still in search of first UFC win

October 7, 2017
Gonzalez lost to Poliana Botelho via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 216 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A loser in both of her UFC bouts and having made stunningly little progress since she debuted with the company, Gonzalez figures to be on the chopping block. She spent the vast majority of Saturday's fight trying to bring Botelho on the mat and failing. Gonzalez was officially 0-for-15 on takedown attempts although it seemed quite a bit worse than that. Other than a submission win over Cortney Casey that took place nearly four years ago, Gonzalez's career has been unremarkable. She will probably get one more chance with the company despite not really deserving one.
To meet Poliana Botelho at UFC 216
StrawweightOther
August 31, 2017
Gonzalez will face Poliana Botelho in a strawweight fight at UFC 216 on October 7 in Las Vegas, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez's debut was a submission loss to Cynthia Calvillo that followed 48 hours of drama from the New York State Athletic Commission about whether or not she would be allowed to fight based on old rules regarding implants. This time around, the 31-year-old will be taking on a newcomer in Poliana Botelho, whose victories all come via KO/TKO. Gonzalez struggled against Calvillo's strength but she has a 70 percent strike defense and could test her skills against a stand-up artist like Botelho by bringing the fight to the ground.
Taps to Cynthia Calvillo in UFC debut
StrawweightOther
April 8, 2017
Gonzalez lost to Cynthia Calvillo via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:45 of Round 3 at UFC 210 on Saturday in Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez was undoubtedly happy to get into the cage and fight after all the issues over the last 48 hours, but she didn't accomplish a whole lot in her UFC debut. While she by no means embarrassed herself, Gonzalez struggled with the strength of Calvillo. It was entertaining at times, but it wasn't a high-level MMA bout. Pearl is going to get another shot with the company, but expectations should be kept in check.
