Losing streak hits three
Mueller lost to JJ Aldrich via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Tampa.
ANALYSIS
A loser of three fights in a row and without a win dating back to her UFC debut in April 2018, Mueller once again came up on the losing end. While her second round was respectable, she clearly dropped rounds one and three on Saturday. The fact of the matter is that Mueller is simply unable to generate enough offense to defeat legitimate opponents. She has regressed throughout her brief tenure with the UFC.

Looks to bounce back in Tampa
Mueller will take on JJ Aldrich in a flyweight matchup at UFC Tampa on Oct. 12, Mari Faiello of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Mueller has now lost back-to-back fights in the UFC since defeating an underwhelming opponent in Shana Dobson in her April 2018 debut. She could very well be fighting for her job against Aldrich, who was beaten badly by heralded prospect Maycee Barber in March. Statistically, however, Mueller has better numbers in striking offense, striking defense and offensive wrestling. The two both measure up at 5-foot-5 with a 67-inch reach.

Poor fight IQ leads to UFC 236 setback
Mueller lost to Poliana Botelho via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 236 on Saturday in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Mueller is going to be kicking herself after this one. After clearly dropping Rounds 1 and 2, Mueller had the opportunity to finish off her gassed opponent with about a minute left and instead chose to finish the fight on the mat and the clock ran out. Sure, it was a terrible decision, but the truth of the matter is that Mueller wasn't the least bit competitive until Botelho began to fade.

Replaces VanZant in Atlanta
Mueller will take on Poliana Botelho in a flyweight showdown at UFC 236 on April 13 in Atlanta, freelance MMA journalist Farah Hannoun reports.
ANALYSIS
Mueller dropped her first professional fight back in November -- a submission loss to Yanan Wu near the end of the first round. The 27-year-old had been 5-0 leading up to that bout, but was only tested once against UFC-caliber competition. She'll now take on Botelho -- a 30-year-old Brazilian with a 2-1 mark in the promotion, who will enter the cage with a three-inch height advantage.

Loses undefeated record
Mueller lost to Yanan Wu via submission (armbar) at 4:00 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 141 on Saturday in Beijing, China.
ANALYSIS
Mueller was pushing the pace in the striking battle. Yanan did a good job of keeping distance and avoided most of the strikes. However, late in the round, it looked like Mueller was able to drop Yanan. The Chinese fighter recovered quickly and locked in an armbar and finished the fight. There was a lot of hype behind Mueller, but this was not an impressive performance.
