Kyle Noke

Australia

Drops third fight in a row
WelterweightUFC
November 26, 2016
Noke lost to Omari Akhmedov via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Noke struggled with Akhmedov's power and takedowns over the course of this three-round fight. After getting dominated in the first round, he did better over the next two, but it was not enough to take the decision. Noke has now lost three fights in a row. His last victory came over Peter Sobotta last November. His status as a star in Australia might help him stay on the roster, but, if he is not released, his next bout will be a "must win" situation.

Taps with one second left in Round 2 Wednesday
WelterweightUFC
July 13, 2016
Noke lost to Keita Nakamura via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:59 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
ANALYSIS
Noke was fine in Round 1, landing some power shots and a nice trip that resulted in a takedown, but he couldn't manage to last the one final second that would have sent the bout to the final frame. Referee Herb Dean was about to send the fight to Round 3, but Noke's hand hit the mat just before the bell rang. It was a tough break for Noke as he likely would have be tied at one round a piece if he was able to hang on. Noke appeared rejuvenated when he defeated Jonavin Webb and Peter Sobotta in a four month span late last year, but he has now lost two-straight in 2016.

Noke lost to Alex Morono via split decision (28-29, 30-27, 28-29) at UFC 195 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a tough loss for the 35-year-old. Noke could have easily gotten the call in this one. The striking battle was very close as was the ground control time. Morono threatened with a very tight arm bar late, but Noke was able to eventually slip out of it. Noke looks very comfortable at welterweight and he has been fighting far better over the last year or so. Always in terrific shape, we will see Noke again in the neat future.
Kyle Noke: Lands huge body kick, finishes Peter Sobotta
WelterweightUFC
November 14, 2015
Noke defeated Peter Sobotta via TKO (strikes) at 2:01 of Round 1 at UFC 193 on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Don't tell the 35-year-old Noke that he's at the end of the line. Noke landed one of the most vicious body kicks that you will ever see and then followed up with several shots before referee Steve Perceval stepped in and put an end to the action. Noke is very big for the welterweight division, keeps himself in outstanding shape and trains with one of the top teams in the world at Jackson/Winklejohn, so he is going to continue to be a threat moving forward.
Kyle Noke: Wins Close Bout Saturday In Australia
WelterweightUFC
May 9, 2015
Noke defeated Jonavin Webb via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Noke should consider himself very lucky. It looked like Webb landed the cleaner shots and would take the decision, but Noke got the call in his native Australia. It was Noke's first UFC win (and only his second fight) since September 2012. He is 35-years-old, but Noke keeps himself in terrific shape and as a result he should be able to hang around for a few more fights, assuming he stays healthy.
