Holobaugh will look to right the ship in the UFC, as he's just 1-5 in the promotion and is coming off a loss to Trey Ogden via unanimous decision in March. His tilt with Kruschewsky is scheduled for almost exactly a year following his first and only win in the UFC, a Round 2 victory over Austin Hubbard. His opponent Kruschewsky is 0-1 in the UFC and will also be looking for a cathartic win.

Kurt deserves a bunch of credit for battling back and winning The Ultimate Fighter last August at age 36, but the story of his career has been inconsistency, as we saw in this fight. Unless he gets things straightened out, Holobaugh's return to the UFC may be a brief one.

Holobaugh defeated Austin Hubbard via submission (triangle choke) at 2:39 of Round 2 at UFC 292 on Saturday in Boston. With the victory, he was crowned TUF Season 31 Lightweight Champion and earns a spot back on the UFC roster.
