Poor showing against Maurice Greene
Albini lost to Maurice Greene via TKO (punches) at 3:38 of Round 1 at UFC Minneapolis on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Albini possibly came into this fight knowing his job might be on the line, as he walked through all of Greene's combos and pressed forward, even mustering some return fire of his own. In the end, Greene's power simply proved to be too much. Albini was able to stay alive after he was knocked down the first time and eventually got back to his feet, but the second time he hit the canvas, he curled up and it was all over. The 28-year-old Brazilian is young enough to still improve, but those strides may have to be made outside of the UFC. He drops to 14-6 as a pro with this result.

Added to Minneapolis card
Albini will take on Maurice Greene in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Minneapolis on June 29, Nolan King of Flocombat reports.
ANALYSIS
Albini picked up a stoppage win in his first trip to the Octagon, but has since dropped three fights in a row. He was given a step back in competition his last time out, but was finished by Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the second round. Now fighting with his back against the wall, Albini will enter this matchup with significant disadvantages in both height and reach. Greene stands at a massive 6-7, and is 2-0 to begin his career with the company.

Loses via TKO in Round 2
Albini was defeated by Jair Rozenstruik via TKO at 0:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ on Saturday in Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Albini came in with the strategy of grounding the former professional kickboxer in Rozenstruik. He was successful in the first round as he took Rozenstruik down on multiple occasions. He almost submitted him, but Rozenstruik was able to defend and escape the submission. "Baby" even won the striking exchanges in the first. However, Rozenstruik only needed a small opening when the fight started in the second round and landed a huge right that he followed up with a head kick. Albini was finished up against the cage with strikes and the referee stopped the fight.

New opponent in Fortaleza
Albini will now take on UFC newcomer Jair Rozenstruik in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Fortaleza on Feb. 2, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Albini was originally scheduled to face undefeated Russian Dmitriy Sosnovskiy, and he'll now draw the 5-0 Rozenstruik instead. Albini is currently 1-2 in the UFC, and needs to get past the debuting opponent if he intends on sticking around with the UFC long-term. Rozenstruik clearly has some power in his hands, as his first four professional victories were of the TKO variety, all in the first round. How he reacts to a step up in competition will remain a mystery until fight night. As of Jan. 24, oddsmakers peg this fight as a pick'em.

Headed to Fortaleza
Albini will take on Dmitriy Sosnovskiy in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Fortaleza on Feb. 2, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Albini has lost back-to-back fights, but is young enough at 27 to still turn things around. He'll get an opportunity to do so in his home country of Brazil against a fighter that has just one UFC bout to his name. One weakness of Albini is his submission defense, which could be an issue against Sosnovskiy, a fighter who submitted Mark Godbeer in his UFC debut and has three submission wins in 11 professional opportunities.
