Fourth straight stoppage loss
Cifers lost to Mallory Martin via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:33 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Saturday's setback was Cifers' fourth straight stoppage loss and came on the heels of missing weight Friday. The crazy thing is that Cifers never looked better than she did in Round 1. She floored Martin with a straight right hand and unleashed countless follow-up shots but was never able to close the deal. Martin appeared to recover in between rounds and Cifers found herself tapping out shortly into the second frame. The 28-year-old North Carolina native now stands with a record of 2-5 under the UFC banner.

Doesn't make weight
Cifers missed the strawweight limit for Saturday's bout versus Mallory Martin, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cifers was a pound over the allotted range for the fight, marking the first time she has missed as part of the UFC company. It's not a great look for a fighter on a three-bout losing streak and will presumably result in her forfeiting a portion of her purse for the contest.
