To fight at UFC London
Saki will take on Saparbek Safarov in a light heavyweight bout at UFC London on March 16.
ANALYSIS
This will be Saki's first fight since he was knocked out by Khalil Rountree in the first round of his third professional fight. It's been a disappointing start to Saki's MMA career, but he will have a good opportunity to prove his worth to the UFC in London when he takes on Safarov, who has lost each of his first two UFC fights.

Shocked by Khalil Rountree at UFC 226
Saki lost to Khalil Rountree via KO (punches) at 1:36 of Round 1 at UFC 226 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Not good. In just his third career professional MMA fight, Saki, a former Glory Kickboxing Light Heavyweight World Champion, was brutally finished on the feet. The 34-year-old looked shaky in his UFC debut last September and the issues obviously continued on Saturday. Saki is a great striker (his performance here aside), but he's an inexperienced mixed martial artist and he is well past his athletic prime. The company will certainly give him another opportunity assuming he wants one, but Saki doesn't look like the impact 205-pounder that many expected him to be.

Will fight Khalil Rountree at UFC 226
Saki (knee) is set to take on Khalil Rountree at UFC 226 on July 7 in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Saki was supposed to fight Rountree at UFC 219 back in November before he was forced to pull out due to a meniscus tear. The recovery seems to have gone smoothly, as Saki was originally given a timetable that would hold him out until March, and he'll now have the opportunity to take part in the bout vs. Rountree that's been in the works since October. Saki last fought in September of 2017, when he knocked out Henrique da Silva in his UFC debut.

Out with meniscus tear
Saki withdrew from UFC 219 due to a meniscus tear, and will likely be sidelined until March while recovering from the injury, Peter Carroll of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Saki suffered a "bucket handle tear" during his first-round knockout of Henrique de Silva in September at UFC Fight Night 117. This comes five years after initially injuring the knee, which Saki attributes to added stress because of the different movements and footwork required in the UFC. Although Saki tried to recover in time for his bout against Khalil Rountree in late December, it became apparent that he would need to shut it down, and is hoping for a fight against Rountree in March or April once the meniscus in fully healed.

Pulls out of UFC 219
Saki has pulled out of his fight against Khalil Rountree at UFC 219 for an undisclosed reason, Danny Segura of MMAfighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Saki took down Henrique da Silva in his UFC debut back in September and was looking to ride the momentum into a fight against Khalil Rountree, but has now surprisingly pulled out. It's unclear if it's injury related or a personal matter of some sort, and until clarification is provided, we won't have much of an indication for when Saki will be back in the octagon.
