Upsets Alexis Dufresne at Bellator 174
Holloway defeated Alexis Dufresne via TKO (punches) at 2:53 of Round 2 at Bellator 174 in Thackerville, Okla. on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Dufresne came out and took Holloway down right away. She took the back and threatened with a triangle armbar submission. However, she ended up getting reversed and spending the rest of the round on the bottom. In the next round, her takedown attempt was terrible. Holloway once again took the top position, and this time kept pace with ground and pound. She kept pouring it on until the referee stopped it. The stoppage was a tad premature, but Dufresne was not really moving. With a win Dufresne was probably going to challenge the winner of the Bellator 174 main event. It remains to be seen if Holloway will now take that spot.
