It was a typical uneven performance from Silva. Continuing what has become a theme of late, the Brazilian spent far too much time up against the fence in which Mein was allowed to unload with uncontested combinations. Given all the physical gifts that he brings to the table, Silva's career has been a rousing failure. He is 1-4 in his last five fights and he is closer to being released than he is to making an impact in the UFC's welterweight division.
