Gets no help from judges in defeat

Ducote lost to Vanessa Demopoulos via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It took exactly one fight for our first controversial decision of the evening. Unfortunately for Ducote, it came at her expense as a -400 favorite. Emily let Demopoulos hang around, something you shouldn't do as such a big favorite, because the end result may very well be what you saw here. Ducote finished by landing 66 percent of her significant strikes (143-214) compared to just 37 percent from Vanessa (109-293), but two of the three judges still felt the latter did enough to win. It's a crushing turn of events for Ducote, who drops under the .500 mark (2-3) in the UFC with the defeat.

Ducote will fight Vanessa Demopoulos at a UFC event scheduled for May 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ducote took down Ashley Yoder in her most recent fight in order to get back to .500 in the UFC through four bouts. She'll be tested against Demopoulos, who has won three of her last four, but Ducote will have a 3.5-inch reach advantage over her opponent.
Improves to 2-2 with UFC
FlyweightUFC
October 14, 2023
Ducote defeated Ashley Yoder via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Granted, it came against a far weaker opponent, but Ducote responded well on the heels of her unanimous decision loss to Lupita Godinez this past May. Outside of a token takedown in the closing seconds of Round 1, Emily got the better of what was a 15-minute kickboxing match. While the total strikes numbers were close (119-105 in Ducote's favor), there's zero doubt which woman landed the more impactful blows. A long-time member of both the Bellator and Invicta rosters, Ducote improves to 2-2 in her first four UFC bouts.

Ducote lost to Lupita Godinez via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Polyana Viana, Ducote agreed to battle Godinez on just a couple weeks' notice and paid for it. Entering as a slight +125 underdog, Emily battled her way back into the fight following a slow start, but it was Godinez that landed the more meaningful strikes for the duration of the bout. A long-time member of both the Bellator and Invicta rosters, Ducote, now 29 years of age, has dropped back-to-back unanimous decisions (Godinez, Angela Hill) on the heels of a win over Jessica Penne in her UFC debut last July. She appears to be nothing more than roster depth moving forward.
