Gets new opponent for Sao Paulo
Santana is now scheduled to face Tracy Cortez in the bantamweight bout at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
This makes for the third different opponent that Santana is scheduled to go up against. After her initial opponent, Leah Letson, withdrew for an unknown reason, Amanda Lemos briefly stepped in before deciding to move down a weight class. Now, Cortez comes aboard and will be making her UFC debut. Santana is coming off a UFC debut of her own, where she lost to Bea Malecki via submission at UFC Fight Night 153.

Another change of plans
Updating a previous report, Santana will no longer take on Amanda Lemos at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Santana had briefly lined up a replacement opponent in Lemos, but it now appears as if Lemos will be moving down to 115 pounds and seek a different opponent on the card. The UFC will keep up its search for a new replacement for Santana following the withdrawal of Leah Letson (undisclosed).

New opponent in Sao Paulo
Santana will now take on Amanda Lemos in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, Guilherme Cruz and Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com report.
ANALYSIS
Santana was originally scheduled for a showdown with Leah Letson, but Letson was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed issue. She'll now draw a fellow Brazilian in Lemos, who will be fresh off a two-year USADA suspension. There's not much UFC film out on either fighter, as Lemos dropped her debut against Leslie Smith in July of 2017 despite getting out to a fast start. Santana dealt with a similar situation in her debut last June, as she won the significant striking battle 42 to 19 and recorded three takedowns, but was ultimately submitted by Bea Malecki in the second round.
