Cruickshank lost to Paul Felder via submission (rear naked choke) at 3:56 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night 81 on Sunday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
Cruickshank had a good chance of being awarded the first two rounds, and was seemingly on his way to a decision victory heading into the third. He held off guillotine and triangle attempts at the hands of Felder, and did significant damage along the way, using the side kick to the head as his primary weapon. It all came crashing down in Round 3, however, as Felder came back to lock in a devastating rear naked choke. Cruickshank has now lost his last three fights in the UFC, but his performance Sunday night was likely respectable enough to earn him at least one more shot in the promotion.

Daron Cruickshank: Heads to Boston to fight Paul Felder
Cruickshank will fight Paul Felder at UFC Fight Night on January 17 in Boston, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cruickshank's last fight in July was an ugly first round submission loss to James Krause in Chicago. It gets no easier against Felder. Cruickshank is just 1-3 (1NC) in his last five fights and his only win in that span came against Anthony Njokuani. Cruickshank probably won't be cut if he loses, but it would be nice to see him put forth a competitive effort against the talented Felder.

Daron Cruickshank: Terrible Effort Against James Krause Saturday
Cruickshank lost to James Krause via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:27 of Round 1 at UFC on FOX 16 on Saturday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Cruickshank just couldn't figure out how to get inside against Krause, who had a six-inch height advantage. He struggled in the striking department early in the bout and he couldn't defend a very impressive leg trip from Krause that ultimately led to the finish. Cruickshank's UFC career has been marred by inconsistency. He's just 1-3 (1NC) in his last five fights.
