Date set for third UFC outing
Moret will fight against Jared Gordon at UFC Minneapolis on June 29, MMA Fighting Newswire reports.
ANALYSIS
Moret will likely be facing a do-or-die situation in the outing to extend his UFC career, which is seemingly in danger after losing his first two fights with the promotion and looking particularly poor against Alex White in the second one. He won't have an easy time doing so, however, facing up against a fighter with a 16-4 career record in MMA. Gordon is, however, coming off a torn hamstring from his defeat to Joaquim Silva in December, so Moret might be at an advantage coming in with a complete clean bill of health.

Still searching for first UFC victory
Moret lost to Alex White via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Wichita, Kansas.
ANALYSIS
After being knocked out by Gilbert Burns in his UFC debut last April, Moret is still searching for his first victory with the company. He started off quickly on Saturday before fading over the final ten minutes. Moret has a difficult time on the feet and his striking defense is particularly poor. He was credited with just 23 total strikes landed over the course of the 15-minute bout. It's entirely possible that he is handed his walking papers after his latest poor effort.

Falls to Gilbert Burns in UFC debut
Moret lost to Gilbert Burns via KO (punches) at 0:59 of Round 2 at UFC on FOX 29 on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Moret hung around despite entering the night as the biggest underdog (+470) on the entire card. He popped Burns with a few big shots in Round 1 before Burns' power and strength advantage overwhelmed the debuting southpaw. Moret is known as a submission specialist, so it was nice to see that he could string together a few combinations on the feet here and there. The 31-year-old Minnesota native will get a second shot with the company.

To make debut against Gilbert Burns
Moret will take on Gilbert Burns in a lightweight matchup at UFC on FOX 29 in Glendale, Arizona on April 14, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com
ANALYSIS
Moret will be making his UFC debut against a submission specialist and seven-fight veteran of the promotion. "The Hitman" last fought in Dec. 2017, and his weight cut will be worth monitoring given the short-notice nature of the fight. Moret is 13-3 as a professional, bouncing around various promotions but logging his highest number of fights under the Resurrection Fighting Alliance banner. With eight of his 13 victories coming via submission, it's a good first matchup, as Burns is primarily known as a grappler as well. Nonetheless, look for Moret to enter as a betting underdog.
