Taking on Kazama in August
Grigoriou will fight Toshiomi Kazama at a UFC event in Las Vegas on August 10, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Grigoriou will head into the fight coming off a decision loss to Chad Anheliger in his UFC debut. The five-foot-seven Cypriot will hope to use his stopping power to take down Kazama, as Grigoriou has recorded six of his eight professional wins by KO/TKO.

Drops decision in UFC debut
Grigoriou lost to Chad Anheliger via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Making his official UFC debut after a 60-second knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series last August, Grigoriou didn't show much. He did manage to land 4-of-5 takedown attempts, but ended up dropping the total strike battle by a 144-26 count. Grigoriou did very little with his positional advantage, and it ended up costing him the fight. A highly concerning development given he was facing a 37-year-old opponent in Anheliger who entered having lost back-to-back fights. There's not much here.

Grigoriou will now fight Chad Anheliger at UFC Vegas 88 on March 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Grigoriou's original opponent, Toshiomi Kazama, was forced to withdraw from the event for undisclosed reasons. Grigoriou will have a staggering 12.5-inch reach advantage over his new opponent and enters without having lost a professional fight since 2021.

UFC debut scheduled
Grigoriou is scheduled to compete against Toshiomi Kazama in a bantamweight fight at UFC Vegas 87 on March 16, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Following his performance in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Grigoriou will look to make his UFC debut in early-2024. He will compete against Kazama, who the promotion signed quickly as a short-notice replacement and is winless across two fights since then.

Secures contract with quick KO
Grigoriou defeated Cameron Smotherman via KO/TKO (punches) at 1:00 of Round 1 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of five fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
The roles were somewhat reversed early in this one, as it was Smotherman who took the initiative to back up Grigoriou with strikes. While it looked like he was falling behind, the Greecian fighter proved he was no worse for the wear when the second punch in a counter combination floored his opponent. He may have benefitted from a quick trigger by referee Herb Dean, but the fact remains that Grigoriou is an athletic and powerful fighter. As such, he will fit right in on the bantamweight roster.
