Struggles against Lyman Good
Rencountre lost to Lyman Good via TKO (punches) at 2:03 of Round 2 at UFC 244 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Rencountre didn't just lose, he was obliterated. This fight would have certainly ended in Round 1 was it not for Rencountre's super human toughness. Facing a far quicker and more powerful opponent, Rencountre was simply unable to close the distance between the two men. Rencountre is a methodical fighter with limited explosiveness, so an opponent like Good was pretty much a worse-case scenario for the 32-year-old Alliance MMA product. The setback snaps a brief two-fight win streak for Rencountre.

Scheduled for UFC 244
Rencountre will square off against Lyman Good at UFC 244 on Nov. 2, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rencountre is coming off one of the most shocking upsets of 2019 in his victory over Ismail Naurdiev, giving him back-to-back victories after losing his UFC debut against Belal Muhammad. After beginning the early portions of his career with numerous victories via KO, Rencountre has focused more on his wrestling in recent bouts, which is what guided him to his win over Naurdiev. He will likely aim to work the same magic against Good, whose primary skillset still seems to land on the boxing end of the spectrum.

Pulls biggest UFC upset of 2019
Rencountre defeated Ismail Naurdiev via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-27, 29-28) at UFC 239 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Credit Rencountre for recognizing a major flaw in Naurdiev's game and exploiting it. After getting the short end of the stick in the striking exchanges between the two men in the early going, Rencountre turned to his wrestling and completely changed the tide of the fight. His two successful takedowns were more than enough to throw the young and inexperienced Naurdiev off his game. Rencountre has now won back-to-back fights since dropping his UFC debut. Per ESPN, Rencountre, who entered this one at +375, is the biggest underdog to win a UFC bout in 2019.

ANALYSIS
While Recountre is 32 years old and boasts a 13-3 record over the course of his professional career, it hasn't even been a year since he joined the UFC. After losing his debut back in June of 2018, Rencountre followed it up with a victory over Kyle Stewart via submission at UFC Fight Night in Brooklyn back in January. His opponent, Naurdiev, is coming off a victory in February in his UFC debut at just 22 years old.

Finds first UFC win Saturday
Rencountre defeated Kyle Stewart via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:25 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Randy Brown and then due to go up against Dwight Grant, Rencountre finally ended up battling Stewart and he walked out of the octagon with his first UFC victory. Recognizing that his opponent had zero chance to defend his takedown attempts, Rencountre scored on an early try and then slowly worked for the rear-naked choke that ended the bout. It was a nice performance but the truth of the matter is that Stewart isn't a UFC-caliber fighter. Either way, Rencountre is in the win column.
