Added to UFC Auckland card
Potter will face Song Kenan in a welterweight matchup at UFC Auckland on Feb. 23, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Potter pulled off an upset at UFC 243 in October when he defeated Maki Pitolo via unanimous decision, and his efforts likely played a major role in getting another chance with the promotion after a disappointing debut. Kenan brought his UFC record to 3-1 by defeating Derrick Krantz via unanimous decision at UFC Shenzhen on Aug. 31 as he showed off his excellent striking skills but allowed three takedowns on six attempts. Potter carries slight advantages in height and reach.

Pulls upset in native Australia
Potter defeated Maki Pitolo via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 243 on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Potter didn't look like a UFC-caliber fighter in his 53-second debut loss to Jalin Turner in February, but he rebounded as a substantial (+325) underdog on Saturday. Potter handled everything Pitolo threw his way in Round 1 before taking firm control of the bout over the course of the final 10 minutes. Pitolo outworked a man who is more than seven years his junior and may have very well saved his job as a result. There's an extreme likelihood this will go down as the highlight of Potter's UFC run, but coming through as a hefty underdog in his native country on a Pay-Per-View card is no small task.

To welcome Maki Pitolo in Australia
Potter will take on Maki Pitolo in a welterweight matchup at UFC 243 on Oct. 5 in Melbourne, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Potter will take the cage in front of a friendly crowd in his native Australia, where he'll look to put a forgettable debut behind him. He'll draw an opponent making his UFC debut on the heels of a first-round knockout on Dana White's Contender Series this past summer.

Tastes power in Australia
Potter lost to Jalin Turner via TKO (strikes) at 0:52 of Round 1 at UFC 234 on Saturday in Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Potter really struggled to break through in this. He tried to score a takedown, but Turner easily shrugged him off and went back to work. On the feet, Turner landed virtually all of his power strikes and hurt Potter over and over. This was his UFC debut, so he will likely get at least one more shot with the company.
