February 18, 2018
Camozzi was defeated by Geoff Neal via submission (bulldog choke) at 2:48 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Austin.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi never had a chance to mount offense as Neal was able to land shots early that backed Camozzi up and forced him to be defensive. In the final exchange, Camozzi was able to cut Neal above his eye, but was immediately thrown to the ground by "Hands of Stone." Neal locked in a bulldog choke and quickly finished the fight.

Camozzi will fight Geoff Neal in a welterweight fight at UFC Austin on Feb. 18, Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi, who owns a 7-4 record in professional fights, is looking for his first UFC victory after falling via TKO in both of his first two matches under the promotion. His opponent, Neal, will be making his UFC debut after earning a deal with the promotion following a TKO win over Chase Waldon at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender series in July. Neal owns an overall record of 8-2 in professional fights.
Finished in the third round by debuting Chad Laprise at UFC 213
WelterweightUFC
July 8, 2017
Camozzi was defeated by Chad Laprise via TKO (strikes) at 1:27 of Round 3 at UFC 213 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi fought replacement Chad Laprise in Laprise's debut at welterweight. "The Mantis" was much bigger than Laprise, and he attempted to walk down the smaller fighter to corner him against the cage. However, Laprise was able to use his quickness to evade Camozzi and land big counter-punches. Camozzi also had difficulty defending against leg kicks. He found more success in the second round, which was a difficult round to score, but fell victim to a vicious liver shot in the third round. He was finished with follow-up strikes. Camozzi is a very tall fighter for the division, and he should learn to use his length more effectively in future fights.

Camozzi will now face Chad Laprise in a welterweight battle at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas, Mike Johnston of SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi was scheduled to face Alan Jouban for this fight, but Jouban was forced to withdraw due to a fractured foot. As a result, Chad Laprise was called in as a replacement. Camozzi will enter the cage after he dropped his UFC debut against Randy Brown (KO/TKO-knee) back in December. He is 7-3 overall.

June 6, 2017
Camozzi will no longer face Alan Jouban at UFC 213 after Jouban had to withdraw from the contest due to a foot injury, Shaheen Al-Shatti of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Although he won't see Jouban in the Octagon on July 8 in Las Vegas, Camozzi is still scheduled to fight at the event, though a replacement fighter has yet to be selected. With UFC 213 just about a month away, the announcement of who will face the 25-year-old will likely have to come soon, so stay tuned for the announcement and be prepared to adjust accordingly.
Will face Alan Jouban at UFC 213
WelterweightUFC
May 30, 2017
Camozzi will fight Alan Jouban on July 8 at UFC 213 in Las Vegas, Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi's UFC debut did not go as planned at UFC Fight Night in Albany back in December when he fell via TKO to Randy Brown after a hard-fought contest. Something will have to give in this bout against Jouban, as both fighters are coming off losses, though Jouban has significantly more experience and had won his previous three contests prior to the loss. Therefore, Camozzi will need to prove himself in this battle in order to maintain his status as a UFC fighter.
