Big knees lead to finish and contract
Gustafsson defeated Pat Pytlik via TKO (knees) at 3:20 of Round 2 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of four fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.

Gustafsson wore his opponent down in Round 1 and likely won the frame on the basis of control time in the clinch and short strikes. He continued marching forward in Round 2, and despite eating a big shot, was able to force another clinch. This time, he landed a hard elbow, followed by multiple big knees that would go on to end the proceedings.
