Draws Ashley Yoder for Denver
Cooper will fight Ashley Yoder in a strawweight matchup Nov. 10 during UFC Fight Night in Denver, Damon Martin of MMANYTT.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cooper, who is 3-4 as a professional, has alternated wins and losses across her past four bouts, most recently losing to Mackenzie Dern via first round submission in May. It's tough to count that loss against her, however, as Dern missed weight badly and was essentially fighting an entire weight class higher than Cooper. Now, Cooper will look to even her record in the UFC at 3-3, going up against an opponent that is winless in three attempts with the promotion. She'll concede four inches in height and five inches in reach to Yoder in a matchup that isn't anywhere near affecting the title picture.

No-shows Saturday's loss to Mackenzie Dern
Cooper lost to Mackenzie Dern via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:27 of Round 1 at UFC 224 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
Cooper agreed to fight Dern despite the fact the later missed weight by seven pounds on Friday and she ended up paying for it. Known as a strong striker, Cooper came up short in what was essentially a kickboxing match. ABC's entire career has been thoroughly underwhelming and there was zero reason to believe she could beat a talented prospect such as Dern. Now sporting a dreadful .500 (3-3) career record, Cooper is closer to being released than she is to earning another meaningful fight with the company.

Opponent badly misses weight
Cooper will still face Mackenzie Dern at UFC 224 on Saturday, despite the fact that Dern missed the strawweight limit by seven pounds, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cooper will pick up 20 percent of Dern's show money for the fight, but it's always a unique predicament when fighting an opponent that misses their mark that badly. Cooper was able to make the 116-pound limit, while her opponent will come in heavy and not have to endure such a grueling weight cut. The 26-year-old was already a big betting underdog of approximately (+210), and that mark is unlikely to change. Per Mike Bohn of USA Today, five fighters have missed weight and still competed so far in 2018, and those fighters are a perfect 5-0.

Draws Mackenzie Dern in Rio
Cooper will take on Mackenzie Dern at UFC 224 in Rio on May 12, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cooper is 2-2 under the UFC banner, most recently putting her knockout power on display with a Dec. 2 TKO victory over Angela Magana. The odds will be stacked against Cooper this time out, however, as the promotion will pin her against one of the prospects they are hopeful to build up in Mackenzie Dern. All three of Cooper's career losses have been via submission, and Dern is already a former world jiu-jitsu champion at just 25 years old. It would be in Cooper's best interest to keep this one standing, but with a career 20 percent takedown defense, it may not be within her skillset.

Overwhelms overmatched Angela Magana at UFC 218
Cooper defeated Angela Magana via TKO (punches) at 4:34 of Round 2 at UFC 218 on Saturday in Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Defeating Magana isn't difficult (she hasn't won a fight in more than six years), but Cooper more than handled her business in front of family and friends in her native Michigan. She was in full control throughout the course of the bout en route to winning the total strike battle by a count of 131-17. The key for the 26-year-old Cooper will be to follow up this strong effort with another one her next time out. She has struggled with consistency issues throughout her brief career.
