November 21, 2019
Crowder announced his decision to retire Thursday, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Crowder cited memory loss as one of the main reasons for his retirement. "I just turned 30 this year and I've had some memory problems, and it wasn't worth it," stated Crowder. "I want to watch my little girl grow up. The memory loss has been happening more and more lately." He'll step away with a 10-4 record in professional fights, with his last victory coming against Greg Hardy in January of 2019 at UFC Fight Night 143.

Gets KO'ed in nine seconds
HeavyweightOther
June 22, 2019
Crowder lost to Jair Rozenstruik via KO (punches) at 0:09 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 154 in Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Crowder didn't have a chance to do much of anything Saturday, as a sharp counter straight right put him on his back immediately before some haymakers from the top closed the show. Crowder has shown himself to be a decent pressure fighter who can follow a game plan, but he does tend to hang his chin out when throwing shots, which is a recipe for disaster against a powerful, fast kickboxer. Crowder falls to 10-4 (1NC) in professional MMA as a result of the loss.
To compete next in Greenville
HeavyweightOther
May 1, 2019
Crowder will take on Jair Rozenstruik in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Greenville on June 22, Jose Youngs of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Crowder got on the map for the casual fan when he spoiled Greg Hardy's UFC debut with a victory by disqualification (illegal knees). That evened his UFC record at 1-1, and likely earned him another shot with the company. He'll now draw a fighter similar in measurements and experience level, though Rozenstruik's lone UFC bout ended in him stopping Junior Albini with a leg kick. Expect fireworks once again between these two heavyweights in a preliminary bout.
Earns first UFC win after Greg Hardy DQ
HeavyweightOther
January 19, 2019
Crowder defeated Greg Hardy via DQ (illegal knee) at 2:28 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
That's one way to pick up your first UFC victory. Regardless of the circumstances that ended the fight, Crowder deserves some credit. He ate all the power punches that Hardy threw his way and he forced Hardy to defend in the later stages of the fight. It wasn't pretty but Crowder stuck with it and got the win because of Hardy's stupidity. Crowder's future is bleak but he can tell his grand kids that he has a win in the UFC over a former NFL All-Pro.
Draws Greg Hardy in January
HeavyweightOther
December 5, 2018
Crowder will take on Greg Hardy in a heavyweight matchup on Jan. 19, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Crowder got his shot in the UFC with a TKO win on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, but came up short in his official UFC debut against Justin WIllis. Willis has since picked up his eighth win in a row following a victory over Mark Hunt, so that loss doesn't look as bad as it did originally. Crowder will now sets his sights on Hardy, a former NFL player who joined the sport relatively late in his athletic career. Hardy is on a six-fight winning streak composed entirely of first-round knockouts, so the suspect striking defense showed in Crowder's debut will be an aspect of his game he'll need to address. Considering Hardy is still new to the sport, Crowder might be better suited to try and wear him out by taking this fight to the mat. It's unclear if that's an aspect of Crowder's game he's willing to deploy, but he does have three submission victories from his amateur days (all chokes), so that is a skill at least somewhere in the arsenal.
Destroyed by Justin Willis in UFC debut
HeavyweightOther
December 2, 2017
Crowder lost to Justin Willis via KO (punches) at 2:33 of Round 1 at UFC 218 on Saturday in Detroit
ANALYSIS
Crowder earned a UFC contract with a strong performance on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders series, but his official debut with the company was an unmitigated disaster. Displaying disturbingly poor striking defense, Crowder was battered throughout the course of the brief fight and he didn't look like a UFC-caliber competitor. He may not get another chance inside the Octagon.
