Jon Litterine ranks the NHL's top prospects as we head into the 2018-19 season. Fear not, Sabres fans, Rasmus Dahlin should be an impact player from the get go.
Jon Litterine takes a look at the upcoming NHL Draft with an in-depth review of the top-31 overall prospects, including projected top pick Rasmus Dahlin.
2017 Fantasy Outlook
A third-round pick in 2016, Day saw his stock rise last season as he bounced back on the heels of a down-season that coincided with a family issue. Born in Belgium to American and Canadian parents, he put up 37 points in 63 games split between Mississauga and Windsor of the OHL, winning that circuit’s championship with the latter club. He's only the fourth player who's ever been granted Exceptional Player Status, an exemption that allowed him to start his OHL career at the age of 15; the other three are Connor McDavid, John Tavares and Aaron Ekblad, which is great company to be in. Day’s size and skill make him a player to watch, and the 19-year-old could break into the NHL by the 2018-19 season, if not sooner.
