Ersson emerged as the starter for the Flyers in 2023-24. He got off to a solid start, but his play suffered as the season progressed. He was elite until Jan. 18 (.927 save percentage and 1.85 GAA) if you omit the 12 goals allowed in his first two outings of the year. After that, he posted a 3.23 GAA and an .876 save percentage in 31 contests. Ersson will split time this season with Ivan Fedotov, and that rest should help him avoid the rigors of a heavy workload. Consequently, Ersson could be a potential steal in daily formats where lightning in a bottle can deliver positive results. Ersson is the lead goalie in a three-headed monster in Philly. He has started 13 games, with Ivan Fedotov starting 10 and Aleksei Kolosov getting the call eight times. Having three netminders in the fold rarely delivers much fantasy value, but Ersson makes a solid case for himself. He has a 6-4-2 record, and his 2.87 GAA is the best of the trio. However, his team-leading .891 save percentage is abysmal. Still, Ersson's fantasy worth could rise if he stays at the forefront of the team's goaltending picture.

ANALYSIS
Ersson has a 5-2-2 record, 2.70 GAA and .902 save percentage in 11 appearances in 2024-25. Ivan Fedotov and Aleksei Kolosov have been splitting the workload in Ersson's absence. Although Kolosov has done well recently, winning his past three starts while stopping 69 of 75 shots, the 22-year-old will likely return to AHL Lehigh Valley, though there's a chance his success will lead to Fedotov being waived instead or the Flyers even carrying three goaltenders. In any of those scenarios, Ersson is projected to resume his role as the Flyers' No. 1 goaltender.
