Remi Elie

A second-round pick in 2013, Elie was one of a number of young Stars forwards to get a full-time role last season, but limited ice time and a checking-line assignment kept his scoring contributions to a minimum. That's probably the best fit for the 23-year-old in the NHL, even after the Sabres claimed him off waivers right before the new season. Elie's work ethic and compete level are strong, though his offensive sills are average at best, and he's no threat to carve out a role on the power play. Look for him to settle in as a capable fourth-liner over the next couple of seasons.
