Cehlarik agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Swedish team Leksands IF on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Cehlarik racked up 16 goals and 21 assists in 48 contests for AHL Providence this season but was only able to break into three games with the Bruins. Cehlarik is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, so the Bruins will likely hand him a qualifying offer if only to retain his NHL rights.

Cehlarik has had cups of coffee with the big club in each of the last two seasons, totaling one goal and four points over the course of 17 NHL games. At the AHL level, Cehlarik has displayed a skill set that could translate into a depth role in Boston, but the 23-year-old native of Slovakia has plenty of competition on that front. At 6-foot-2, 202 pounds, Cehlarik profiles as a power forward with enough skill to provide secondary scoring.
The 2013 third-rounder, a native of Slovakia, who has been compared to Chicago's Michal Handzus by Boston GM Peter Chiarelli, turns 19 in August. The youngster is on track to continue his development this coming season in Europe, but has the skills to help the B’s up front in time.
Cehlarik is a native of Slovakia, who played last season in Sweden for Lulea Jr., where he notched 37 points in 38 games. GM Peter Chiarelli compares the 2013 third-rounder to Chicago's Michal Handzus, noting that Cehlarik "dishes,...has good size, (and is) a good two-way player." He needs some seasoning, which will likely continue abroad for the time being.

Nearing deal with Swiss club

May 29, 2020
Cehlarik is closing in on a deal with HC Lugano (NLA), per Corriere Del Ticino.
ANALYSIS
Cehlarik was only able to break into the Bruins lineup for three regular-season games this season, in which he notched one assist, zero shots and two PIM while averaging 11:16 of ice time. The 24-year-old is set to become a restricted free agent in the offseason and could still receive a qualifying offer from the club in order for it to retain his rights. The winger did put up solid numbers in the minors with 37 points in 48 games, so he could still make his way back to the NHL if he can show off his scoring touch overseas.
