Nils Aman

Initially not even expected to make the NHL roster in 2022-23, Aman produced 16 points in 68 games with the Canucks, emerging as a reliable bottom-six forward. A natural center, Aman's ability to get past the third line would likely put him on the wing -- instead, it's more likely he remains in a bottom-six role in his second campaign in 2023-24. The Swede showed well enough defensively to earn time on the penalty kill, collecting two shorthanded assists. The Canucks still have a lot of defensive questions in general, but Aman appears to be the kind of unheralded forward every NHL team needs, though that doesn't mean fantasy managers will need to pay him much attention in standard formats.
