Crawford grabbed 19 points in 53 games for the Sabres’ AHL affiliate in Rochester last season, and signed a one-year deal in the offseason to remain in the organization. He provides blue line depth at the AHL level, but isn’t likely to contribute at the NHL level in 2013-14.

Crawford's offensive numbers took a step back in his second AHL season, as he dipped to 22 points in 70 games, down nine from the 31 he notched in 2010-2011. The Caledon, Ontario native will continue to play a two-way role with the Sabres' affiliate in Rochester in 2012-13.

Crawford enjoyed his first year of professional hockey last year, and he impressed. The native of Caledon, Ontario had 31 points (7 G, 24 A) in 76 games for AHL Portland and will move on to Buffalo's new AHL affiliate in Rochester, where he'll spend 2011-12.

Crawford had a monster season for Barrie of the OHL last year, earning 49 points (7 G, 42 A) in 49 games. He'll be back in the OHL in 2010-11, where the Sabres will monitor the progress of their sixth round pick from the 2008 draft.
