ANALYSIS
Vistenin tried his luck in the EBEL last season, but only made one appearance after having spent the previous five years bouncing between the AHL and ECHL. The netminder's lone NHL game was during the 2013-14 campaign for the Coyotes, in which he posted a 3.05 GAA and .906 save percentage.

Visentin is likely the goalie of the future in the desert, at least for now, and is the team's current No. 3 with Chad Johnson no longer in the organization. In 30 games with the AHL Pirates last season, he posted a .903 save percentage and 2.98 GAA along with 15 wins. The team's signing of Thomas Greiss indicates Visentin isn't quite there yet, so he'll grow his game in the minors.
Visentin earned OHL Goaltender of the Year honors after posting a 30-15-9 record to go along with a .917 save percentage and 2.52 GAA in 2011-12. His rebound control is one of his top assets and the departure of Justin Pogge from the Portland Pirates (AHL) should afford Visentin the opportunity to come in as the top guy in AHL. He might even have a chance to crack the Coyotes should injuries decimate the goaltending situation.
Visentin has spent three seasons in the OHL and 2010-11 was the best of his very young career. With the Niagara Icedogs, Visentin saw time in 46 games, posting a 2.52-GAA and 0.917 save percentage. He's still a long way off from potentially arriving on an NHL roster even for depth purposes, but the 'Yotes will continue to monitor his development in the Juniors.
