Marat Khusnutdinov

22-Year-Old CenterC
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Khusnutdinov started the 2023-24 campaign in the KHL, but after recording six goals, 20 points and 45 PIM across 55 contests between St. Petersburg and Sochi, the Russian forward inked a two-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota in February. After joining the Wild, he recorded a goal, four points and six PIM in 16 contests while averaging 13:07 of ice time. The 22-year-old should start 2024-25 with the Wild, probably as their third-line center, but he might not be a regular on the power play. Although he has some offensive upside, Khusnutdinov doesn't have an especially high ceiling, and it would be best to regard him as a potentially solid role player instead of a high-end prospect. Earns helper in win
CMinnesota Wild
October 30, 2024
Khusnutdinov logged an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
ANALYSIS
Khusnutdinov's chances to contribute have been limited lately -- he's played on the fourth line in three straight games. His playing time is unlikely to improve after Frederick Gaudreau broke out for three points in a third-line role Tuesday. Khusnutdinov has two helpers, two shots on goal, five hits and six blocked shots over nine contests this season.
