Crevier is a defensive defenseman who ate some minutes with the rebuilding Blackhawks last season. He finished with three assists, a minus-16 rating, 30 hits and 50 blocks in 24 contests while averaging 15:41 of ice time. Although you can write off his poor plus/minus as a function of playing for a bad squad, his analytics suggest that Crevier struggled even relative to the low bar set by his teammates. That makes it hard to get too excited about his prospects for this season, especially with the competition on the Blackhawks' blue line fiercer following the summer additions of Alec Martinez and T.J.
