A former first round pick in 2009 by the Blackhawks, Olsen is slowly working his way into becoming a full-time NHL player. For the past two seasons, he's split his time between the AHL and NHL, scoring two goals and six assists in 44 games for the Panthers in 2014-15. The 24-year-old still has time to live up to the promise he showed in college, but will find it difficult to break into the Panthers’ lineup on a consistent basis. The team may elect to keep Olsen in the AHL until more regular minutes open up, unless he has a particularly strong camp and cracks the team’s lineup out of the gate.
