A steady defender, Pelech was limited to 61 games last year after battling a head injury. He had 21 points, 77 hits, 110 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating, though he was noticeably less involved in the offense following his return. The 29-year-old will again see a top-four role with the Islanders this year, likely alongside long-time partner Ryan Pulock, but virtually none of the blueliners on this roster generate much fantasy buzz outside of Noah Dobson. Pelech's career high in points is 28, and expecting him to get much more than is likely asking too much. As long as he's able to stay healthy, Pelech should once again be able to put up 20-plus points and respectable totals in hits and blocks in 2023-24. Just don't expect much more than that from the 29-year-old defender.
